WORKSHOP

News Automation at Work

Practices and Perspectives

Dublin, 4th-5th November 2019

About

News automation at work is a one of a kind workshop that primarily focuses on the use of automated journalism, a new but critical development in the field of media studies.

Automated journalism relates to the auto generation of news through a computer script, a technological breakthrough that is increasingly used by newsrooms.

News automation at work will bring experts together to discuss the impacts of automated journalism on news practitioners, its deployment in non-Western countries such as China and technical aspects of NLG solutions.

The workshop will be held on November 4th and 5th at DCU Institute for Future Media and Journalism (FuJo).
